How to set up a free product reward

Free products are a great way to connect with your program members and reward them for their loyalty to your store. They are also a great way to promote a new product and familiarize your audience with it.

Set up a free product as a Referral reward

Whether you want to reward your advocates or their friends for making a referral at your store, you can do that the following way:

1. Navigate to Referrals > Setup
2. Choose the Advocate reward or Friend reward
3. Select Product Discount for Coupon type

4. Set Coupon amount to 100 to indicate that the product is on discount 100%

5. Next, under Include products, select the product that you would like to offer as a reward, and click Save

Make sure to set up other options such as Minimum spent, Coupon duration, and Coupon prefix.

Set up a redeemable free product as a Points reward

Setting up a redeemable free product as a Points reward is quite similar to setting up a Referral reward.

1. Navigate to Points & Rewards > Setup
2. Scroll down to the Ways to Redeem section and click Add to add a new redemption action
3. Once your redemption action is opened, set up the following:
   1. Add a Title to your reward
   2. Add the Point cost,
   3. Set the Coupon type to Product discount
   4. Set the Coupon amount to 100 to indicate that the product is on discount 100%

4. Next, under Include products, select the product that you would like to offer as a reward, and click Save

Make sure to set up other options such as Minimum spent, Coupon duration, and Coupon prefix.
